How to Read the HoneyBoost Supplement Facts Panel, Line by Line

Quick answer

Read the HoneyBoost panel from the top: serving size of one 4.2 g gummy, 30 servings, 10 calories and 3 g of added sugar. Then read the seven active lines, where only zinc shows a Daily Value of 23%. Two asterisks on the rest mean no Daily Value is set. The panel prints no directions.

Start with the serving block

Everything below the heading is measured per one gummy.

The first lines say the serving size is 1 gummy (4.2 g) and that the container holds 30 servings. Every figure underneath, from calories to milligrams, applies to that single piece. Eat more than one and you must multiply the figures yourself.

The panel, row by row (per gummy)
RowAmountRight-hand column
Calories10none
Total carbohydrate3 gnone
Added sugars3 g6%
Zinc (as zinc gluconate)2.5 mg23%
Maca extract 10:110 mg**
Horny goat weed extract 8:110 mg**
Damiana extract 5:110 mg**
Tongkat ali extract 100:125 mg**
Mucuna extract10 mg**
L-arginine10 mg**

The panel shows 10 calories, 3 g of carbohydrate and 3 g of added sugars per gummy. The 6% beside added sugars follows from a 50 g daily reference (FDA, Added Sugars on the Nutrition Facts Label).

Reading the asterisks and the percent column

Two rows get a percentage; six rows get asterisks.

Added sugars show 6% (3 g against a 50 g reference), zinc shows 23% (2.5 mg against 11 mg), and the other six rows show two asterisks. The asterisk rows are normal for plant extracts and amino acids. They say nothing about whether an amount is high or low. NIH lists 11 mg as the adult male zinc reference, which is the basis for the 23% (NIH ODS, Zinc).

Ratios and "equivalent to"

Numbers such as 10:1 describe how the extract was made.

A plant line like Maca Root Extract 10:1 followed by an equivalent weight says how much raw root went into the extract. It does not state how much of any active compound is in the gummy, a distinction the FTC raises when it asks advertisers whether the extract in a product matches the one in the study (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance). Of the six, only mucuna gives a standard, 98% L-DOPA, which makes 9.8 mg of its 10 mg.

What a panel can never show

Three gaps stay open whatever the numbers say.

A panel lists what the maker says is inside. It does not prove that the amounts are accurate, that the extract matches a studied one, or that the gummy does anything. FDA does not test supplements before sale, so purity rests on the maker and the distributor (FDA, FDA 101: Dietary Supplements).

Ask the seller for a lot number and a certificate of analysis if you want more than the printed figures. The label we have shows neither.

Where the panel stops

It tells you what is in a gummy, never what the gummy does.

No directions or test result appear on it. See the ingredient overview for how each line compares with research doses,, and the supplement facts page for a full transcription.

FAQ01

HoneyBoost questions people ask

Is the panel the same as the bottle front?

No. The front carries marketing phrases; the panel carries measured amounts.

Why is the zinc row the only one with a percent?

Zinc has a set Daily Value of 11 mg, so 2.5 mg shows as 23%.

What does 4.2 g refer to?

The weight of one whole gummy, not of the active ingredients.

Can I add up the panel to find a daily total?

Only if you know how many gummies you eat.
