Testosterone Booster Gummies: Is There Any Data Behind the Format?
No study we found tested a testosterone gummy, HoneyBoost included. The trials that exist used plain extracts and capsules at far larger daily amounts than one gummy holds. A gummy is a delivery format, not a finding. A blood test and a clinician answer questions about testosterone; a candy-like supplement cannot.

Does the gummy format have its own research?
Not that we could find.
The research is about ingredients and about products as a group. The trials we cite tested tongkat ali, maca, L-arginine and others as extracts or powders, mostly in doses counted in hundreds or thousands of milligrams. None tested a gummy, so the word gummy describes a shape and says nothing about effect.
The category label is weak too. A 2020 review of 50 "testosterone booster" products found that 24.8% had any data showing a rise in testosterone, 10.1% had data showing a fall, and 61.5% had no data at all (Clemesha et al. 2020).
How much active material fits in one gummy?
Very little, by weight.
The HoneyBoost gummy weighs 4.2 g, and the six extract and amino acid lines on the panel add up to 75 mg, under 2% of that weight. Reaching a studied dose of one ingredient would take many pieces, and the label prints no directions on how many to take. The ruler sets each label amount beside a studied one.
Maca extract
the studied amount is 240 times the label amountLabel: 10 mg per gummy. Studied: Dry extract, 2,400 mg a day for 12 weeks in men with mild ED. (Zenico et al. 2009)
Tongkat ali extract
the studied amount is 4 times the label amountLabel: 25 mg per gummy. Studied: Standardized root extract, 100 to 600 mg a day, mostly one branded extract. (Leisegang et al. 2022)
L-arginine
the studied amount is 500 times the label amountLabel: 10 mg per gummy. Studied: 5,000 mg (5 g) a day for 6 weeks in men with organic ED. (Chen et al. 1999)
Zinc
the studied amount is 4.4 times the label amountLabel: 2.5 mg per gummy. Studied: The adult male RDA and label Daily Value is 11 mg a day (not a study dose). (NIH ODS, Zinc)
Label amount, per gummyAmount used in the study (or the daily need, for zinc)
Log scale: each step to the right is ten times more. The label does not say how many gummies make a day, so one gummy is shown. A studied dose says what was tested, not what works for you, and no study tested HoneyBoost. Horny goat weed, damiana and mucuna are left out because we found no human dose that can be set beside the label.
What does a gummy add besides the ingredients?
Sugar, and a reason to take more.
| Item | On the HoneyBoost label |
|---|---|
| Calories | 10 per gummy |
| Added sugar | 3 g per gummy, 6% of the Daily Value |
| Main other ingredients | Sugar, corn syrup, water, pectin |
| Honey | Not listed as an ingredient |
With no dose on the label, the number you eat becomes your own guess. Keep the bottle away from children.

See packsWhat would real evidence look like?
A trial of the same product.
The FTC expects health claims to rest on reliable scientific evidence, usually human trials of a matching product (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance). For a gummy, that means a trial of that gummy. A 2023 review of 25 marketed ED supplements found that 20 had no expected efficacy, mostly because ingredients appeared at a negligible dose or without evidence (Petre et al. 2023).
Low testosterone is a diagnosis. The American Urological Association says it needs consistently low blood levels plus symptoms, on two early-morning blood tests (AUA, Testosterone Deficiency Guideline).
